No lobsters, just gulls, Oil pastel on paper: 19.75”x9”
Painting was created on location at Scussett Beach which has an enormous jetty along the Cape Cod Canal, painting was then completed April 2010 in my studio.
My husband and I frequent this beach often while he dives for lobsters, I’ll work on a painting. Many of the paintings I create at Scussett beach are often named after the amount of lobsters John catches in the caves of the jetty. This particular day however, John did not catch any lobsters and I became intrigued by the gulls.
